SIL provides programs and services for individuals that assist with living independently and enhancing their quality of life. The programs and services range from cooking to personal finance to work preparation. We also collaborate with other agencies to provide enhanced resources for our consumers.
Since SIL is cross lifespan, we have youth advocates on staff that work directly with youth and parents to navigate secondary education and advocate on IEPs/504, demonstrate self advocacy skills, and provide school transition skills to be college or career ready.
We collaborate with local and state agencies to help the individuals maximize their
independence and cultivate the next generation of leaders.
