Transportation

Our service is door-to-door. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:00 pm. To be eligible you must have a disability, be at least 55 years of age, or be a veteran. If you have not used SIL Transportation service before, please call us at (573) 874-1646.

All rides are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. We recommend calling as soon as you know transportation is needed, as we cannot guarantee availability.

To request a ride, call 573-874-1646, extension 602.
In your voice mail supply complete information to avoid delay in logging your request:
 -Your name.
 -Date and time of your appointment.
 -Location of your appointment.
 -Pick-up location if different than your home.
 -Return time.
 -Drop-off location if different than your home.
 -Telephone number when you can be reached the day of your ride.
 -Type of mobility device used if any (e.g., wheelchair, walker, cane).
 -Whether a personal care assistant will be with you.

If a ride request can be scheduled, you will receive an automated confirmation call with your pick-up time. Your ride is NOT scheduled if you do not receive a confirmation call and pick-up time. You will be called if your ride cannot be scheduled. When possible, please give two business days’ notice when cancelling your ride.

Each stop is $2. Rides to SIL sponsored events are FREE but based on availability. With prior documentation, veterans and spouses of veterans ride free.

Individuals who cannot ride independently are responsible for bringing an attendant. SIL drivers cannot provide personal care assistance.
