Kathleen is from a small town in Arkansas where she grew up volunteering for several different nonprofits. After completing her master's degree in public health at the University of Missouri, she knew she wanted to continue working with nonprofits to improve the community she had grown to love in Columbia. She especially enjoys spreading the word about the good work organizations do and inspiring community members to contribute in their own ways to make change. Kathleen was excited to join the Services for Independent Living team as the Outreach Coordinator and utilize these skills. She fills her free time with animals, having fostered over 150 cats and dogs through a local rescue while creating her own pet family of one dog, two cats, and a horse. Kathleen wants to work to make sure everyone has the resources they need to make their own choices about how they live.
