About Transportation

SIL transportation operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Our unique service is door-to-door. All rides are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Intake Some paperwork is may be required before a ride can be scheduled. We recommend you call to request a ride as soon as you know transportation is needed, as we cannot guarantee availability.

To schedule request a ride, you new riders must first complete intake paperwork. After the paperwork is completed, you may schedule request a ride HERE.

Eligible riders must have a disability, and/or be 55 years of age or older, and/or be veterans.

Provide the necessary information

  • Name

  • Date and time of the ride

  • Pick-up and drop-off location

  • Telephone number

  • Type of mobility device used (wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.)

Individuals who cannot ride independently are responsible for bringing an attendant.  SIL drivers cannot provide personal care.

** New consumers to SIL will be subject to intake paperwork.

Cost of a Ride

Rides to SIL sponsored events and activities are FREE.  Rides to other destinations (i.e. medical appointments, shopping & errands, worship, etc.) are provided using the following fee structure.

  • $2 per stop inside city limits

  • $3 per stop outside city limits

  • $5 per stop from county to county

    We offer a $30 punch card for frequent riders.  Passes and punch card(s) are available from the SIL drivers or can be purchased at the SIL offices. Please note that drivers will not be able to make change and will only accept the exact amount for the passes or punch card(s) purchased.
